Park Play

There will be games, creative art activities and snack time.  This program is to be spontaneous and fun.  Children ages 4 years through 6th grade are encouraged to meet from 9-11am.  The fee per child is 10.00 for 4 weeks of programming.  Or you may pay 3.00 per time per child.  There is a 25.00 cap per family.  Steph Moore will be teaching this program.  Tuesday – Trimont June 6, 13, 20, 27 Wednesday – Welcome June 7, 14, 21, 28   Thursday – Sherburn June 8, 15, 22, 29
                       

Bike Rodeo

Students’ ages 4 through 3rd graders are invited to come and get your bike checked for safety requirements and safety skills - there will be prizes for all who attend!!  No need to pre-register – just come it’s FREE! Sat., June 10th - 9am MCW High School parking lot.

 
Coach T Football camp
If you just completed K – 8thgrade join former Trimont high school graduate Thad Tumbleson for his annual football camp.  There will be an outstanding coaching staff, excellent drills, competition, and an environment where you can learn better techniques in order to become a great football player.  One warning…you will have a great time and we will work hard to make you a better player.  The kids will be focusing on the fundamentals of football, and working as a team for a common goal.  Life lessons will be taught through football and the expectations to be good citizens as well are some of our goals.

Fee: $100.00 Deadline: June 8th This is a non-contact camp and the only thing required is spikes of some kind.  Football, soccer, and baseball cleats all work.  Bring tennis shoes in case of rain because we will be in the gym. 
 
Horsin’ Around
Come to the horse farm and learn about general horse safety and care, feeding and grooming.  You will have a “hands on opportunity” to be around horses and puppies!!  This class is designed for children 8 years and older.  Younger children can attend with a parent/guardian. Play Ball! Minnesota Youth Clinic

The Minnesota Twins and the Twins Community Fund will offer free youth baseball/softball clinic June 10th.

The clinic teaches basic fundamentals including hitting, fielding, and throwing, while also providing positive messages about staying in school and staying away from drugs and alcohol.  The clinic will be held June 10th at the ball fields in Welcome.  If it rains it will be held at the MCW Welcome School. 
  • Boys and girls ages 6-16 can participate - The 9AM session is suited for students’ ages 6 – 9 and the 10:30 session is geared for students ages 10 – 16.  No registration necessary – just show up ready to learn and have FUN. 
  • The Twins provide the balls; however students need to bring their own glove.
 
Swimming Pool – Summer Hours are posted on the MCW website.
 
Flag Football Entering 1st -3rd grade - this program will begin in September - deadline Aug. 1
 

 

Camp Learn A Lot
Come join us for a week long Kindergarten readiness camp!  (For students entering Kindergarten in 2017)  While at camp, your child will experience hands on learning, intentional play and age appropriate activities. Our program will encourage campers to make good choices, practice kindergarten readiness skills, and make new friends and get rid of the kindergarten jitters while having fun.
Session Dates:  Trimont Preschool Room: July 10-15 from 8:30-11:30AM Sherburn Preschool Room: July 17-22 from 8:30-11:30AM  ~Camp Leaders: Heather Leiding and Carolyn Kascht
Class size is limited to 12 little campers per session.  Register early! Cost is 30.00/camper – scholarships are available for families that qualify.  (No transportation available) T-shirt included and snacks will be provided

 

Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre

Presents:  Snow White

PFCT is a professional touring theatre that develops original musical children’s plays and casts local talent.  The Prairie Fire staff comes with sets, props, make-up, and music…everything but the children.  For students ages 7 –17 years. Don’t miss it!     Auditions:  July 24, 1:00PM Rehearsals: Tues., -Thurs., July 25 – 27 1-5 PM Dress Rehearsal:  Fri., July 28 3-7PM Registration Fee: 30.00 per student – Scholarships for families that qualify.

Maverick Volleyball Camp
MCW Maverick Volleyball camps will be run by MCW coaching staff.  The goal of the camp is to build and improve the fundamental skills of volleyball.  It will be offered to girls who have completed grades 2-11. The camp will be held June 19, 20, & 21. Any questions contact Kayla Zehms at kaylatraetow@mcwmavericks.org
~Maverick Camp This session is open to anyone interested in improving and building fundamental skills. The first two days will focus on passing and setting. The last day we will be working on team building and playing some mini tournaments!

*Completed Grades 10-11 June 19-21 12:30 -1:30 PM.  Cost: $35
~Mini-Mavs This camp is meant as an introduction for volleyball players. We will be learning all the basic skills of volleyball. There will be mini games and tournaments that will be played throughout the camp.
*Completed Grades 2-4 - 8:00-9:15AM Cost $25
*Complete Grades 5-7 9:15--10:30 AM Cost $25.00   All camps located at MCW Trimont Elementary

MCW Preschool Registration If you have not already pre-registered for preschool - do not delay!  Children who are 3 years of age before Sept. 1, 2017 are eligible for the 3-year-old program (2 days/week).  Students need to be 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2017 to attend the 4-year-old program (3 days/week).   Scholarships are available for families who qualify.
